JAKARTA, KalderaNews.com – On National Education Day (Hardiknas), which fell on May 2nd, 2025, the BPK Penabur Foundation reinforced its commitment to providing quality education for all Indonesian children.
In a powerful Hardiknas 2025 message, the Chairman of BPK Penabur, Adri Lazuardi, S.H., passionately called for the participation of all elements of society in advancing national education, echoing the spirit of BPK Penabur’s 75 years of dedicated service.
This year’s Hardiknas theme, “Universal Participation for Quality Education for All,” resonates deeply with BPK Penabur’s 75th-anniversary theme, “Dare to Change: Christian Character in Building the Nation.” Adri emphasized that these two themes are inextricably linked.

“The Hardiknas theme that invites us to ‘Universal Participation’ is an ECHO of BPK Penabur’s 75-year spirit. Realizing ‘Quality Education for All’ requires all of us to ‘Dare to Change’. Dare to change our perspectives, dare to innovate, and dare to collaborate more closely,” Adri stated in his address.
He further elaborated that the change being championed must be rooted in the Christian values that form the foundation of BPK Penabur. “Faith, integrity, love, and a spirit of service must be the lifeblood of our every participation, in every change we make. Our ultimate goal is noble: to ‘Build’ our beloved nation, Indonesia,” he affirmed.
This spirit of collaboration and participation is evident in various activities that BPK Penabur has carried out and will continue to implement.
One such event was the successful Education Seminar held on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, which was graced by the presence of the Deputy Minister of Basic and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Atip Latipulhayat, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D.
The Deputy Minister’s attendance underscored the dialogue and synergy between BPK Penabur and the government. In line with the seminar’s theme and the challenges of the Society 5.0 era, Prof. Atip Latipulhayat emphasized that quality education is the key to facing future challenges.
He also highlighted the government’s vision to implement deep learning, encompassing mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning—a vision that necessitates the role of innovative teachers and close collaboration with educational institutions like BPK Penabur, including the integration of technologies such as AI and coding from an early age. This aligns perfectly with the spirit of “Universal Participation” to collectively enhance the quality of national education.
Beyond this strategic discussion forum, BPK Penabur also recently held the Cantata 3 Easter on Friday, April 25th, 2025, as part of the spiritual and character development for the BPK Penabur community. This event reaffirmed the importance of the “Christian Character” foundation in every aspect of BPK Penabur’s life and service.
In welcoming prospective new students through the New Student Admissions (PPDB), BPK Penabur will host the Spectacular 3 event in Bogor on May 17th, 2025.
With the theme “The Spirit of Sportsmanship,” this activity will not only be a platform for expression and talent development but also aim to instill important values of sportsmanship and other positive character traits in the younger generation.
On this National Education Day, the Chairman of the BPK Penabur Foundation called upon all members of the BPK Penabur community – from students, educators, education staff, parents, alumni, to the board of directors and staff in 15 cities – to ignite the spirit of “Dare to Change” in realizing “Universal Participation.”
“Let us prove that BPK Penabur, at the age of 75, continues to be relevant, adaptive, and fully committed to Indonesia through quality education grounded in Christian character,” Adri concluded.
