This staggering number was revealed by the Turkish Ambassador to Indonesia, Talip Kucukcan, during the grand opening of the Turkish University Fair 2025 at JCC, Jakarta, on Sunday (May 27, 2025).

The event, organized by Edutolia Education in collaboration with the Turkish Maarif Foundation, was graced by prominent figures including Mehmer Gangir from the Turkish Maarif Foundation and Ali Mukodas, Head of the Senior High School Division of the Jakarta Provincial Education Office.

A proud Talip Kucukcan emphasized the exceptional quality of Turkish universities, recognized internationally for their academic standards.

Turkey’s strategic geographical location, bridging Asia and Europe, coupled with its impressive roster of over 200 universities, holds a significant appeal for Indonesian students.

“Currently, Turkey hosts 5,300 students from Indonesia. They are studying in various faculties such as medicine, law, international relations, communication engineering, and more. We believe that education is the strongest bond between the relations of Turkey and Indonesia,” he stated with enthusiasm.

Ibrahim Albayrak, Founder and CEO of Edutolia Education, added that 25 leading Turkish universities, both public and private, are participating in the fair.

Renowned institutions like Atilim Universitesi, Istanbul Aydın Universitesi, Bahcesehir Universitesi, Anadolu Universitesi, Uskudar Universitesi, and many others are present, offering a diverse range of outstanding study programs and attractive scholarship opportunities.

“At this fair, participants can directly consult with university representatives, choose study programs that match their interests, and obtain information about scholarships and flagship programs from each university,” Ibrahim explained.

The Head of the Senior High School Division of the Jakarta Provincial Education Office, Ali Mukodas, expressed his strong appreciation for the event. He hopes that the fair will inspire Jakarta students to pursue higher education in Turkey, which he considers to have a high-quality education system.
