With 5,000 universities in the EU, we offer diverse choices, high quality, great value, and a unique experience through exchange programs and advanced research. Furthermore, the EU and its member states are providing approximately 1,000 scholarship opportunities and financial support, aligning with Indonesia’s vision for Indonesia Emas 2045 and facilitating access to top-tier education and innovative programs.”
Dr. Rachmat Sriwijaya, Director of the Indonesian Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) at the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology, noted that by 2024, the IISMA program had formed partnerships with 48 universities across 15 EU member states.
These European institutions were selected for their exceptional education systems and rich cultural diversity, offering valuable experiences for IISMA participants and supporting alumni in their journey to become future global leaders.

The EHEF will also host a seminar on EU-funded research opportunities, emphasizing doctoral scholarships available through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action (MSCA) and the Horizon Europe program.
Dr. K.R.M.H. Tatas H.P. Brotosudarmo, Regional Coordinator for ASEAN at EURAXESS Worldwide, commented, “Erasmus+ has established a strong partnership in higher education between Europe and Indonesia. Horizon Europe further strengthens this collaboration by enhancing research capabilities and fostering skilled human capital, promoting sustainable and inclusive development, with EURAXESS playing a crucial role in building partnerships among researchers and facilitating access to Horizon Europe funding.”
