JAKARTA, KalderaNews.com – After 30 years of being a trusted English language education provider in Indonesia, EF Kids & Teens has officially rebranded as English 1 (pronounced: English One), ushering in a new era of learning with a fresher identity aimed at today’s generation.

The rebranding journey is marked by two key campaigns: “Say Hello to the Future”, launched during the pre-announcement phase, and #HelloEnglish1, which celebrated the official launch.

The announcement was made at a public event held at Cinema XXI, Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, on Monday (April 21), attended by English 1 management, teachers, students, and parents. Special guests included Aida Perez, a representative from English One AG, and Tasya Kamila, a former child star turned mother and education advocate.

Matthew Kenley, President Director of English 1, expressed excitement over the transformation. “This is not just a change—it’s an evolution. English 1 represents a renewed identity, but the same trusted quality, values, and teaching methods remain. For three decades, we’ve helped Indonesian children become confident English speakers. Today, we welcome the future with the same mission: to empower children through quality English education,” he said.

Rhea Danaparamita, Marketing Director of English 1, emphasized that the campaigns go beyond a name change. “‘Say Hello to the Future’ and #HelloEnglish1 are calls to action for parents—encouraging them to prepare their children with future-proof skills. In a globalized world, English proficiency is essential. This rebranding is about readiness, relevance, and long-term partnership in a child’s educational journey.”

Christopher Lloyd, Director of Operations at English 1, added, “We’re not just keeping the quality—we’re building on it. Students will still be guided by the same dedicated staff. With 200 international teachers and experienced local instructors, our collaborative teaching ensures diverse and effective learning environments.”

Currently, English 1 operates 106 centers across Indonesia with more than 85,000 active students. The curriculum remains tailored and up-to-date, continuously refined to align with technological advancements and modern teaching methods.

“In 2024, we successfully launched Frontrunner 2.0 for teens aged 15–18. This year, our product team is developing an upgraded version of High Flyers, a beloved program for children aged 7–9,” Chris concluded.

With its refreshed identity, English 1 is set to continue shaping the next generation of globally competent and confident English speakers—same mission, new energy.
