Launched in Bali, BizConnect links TVET institutions with industries to support green and digital economic transitions.
BALI, KalderaNews.com – The European Union (EU) and ASEAN officially launched the BizConnect Training of Trainers (ToT) program in Bali, held from April 7–10, 2026. This program is part of the Sustainable Connectivity Package – Higher Education (SCOPE-HE) aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership between the two regions.

The primary goal of this initiative is to foster closer collaboration between Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions and the private sector in Southeast Asia. This is considered crucial to ensure education systems can meet evolving labor market demands, particularly during the green and digital transitions.

Representatives from the ASEAN Secretariat and the EU Ambassador emphasized that the program will equip participants with practical methodologies to build a responsive TVET ecosystem. This move aligns with the EU’s Global Gateway strategy, which focuses on job creation and economic growth.

The Indonesian government, through the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, welcomed the initiative as a concrete effort to enhance graduate competitiveness. This cooperation is expected to have a direct impact on employability and national economic progress.

The training involves representatives from various countries, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam. Following the training, participants will organize national BizConnect
