JAKARTA, KalderaNews.com – 22 Desember telah ditetapkan sebagai Hari Ibu di Indonesia. 22 Desember ini dipilih sebagai Hari Ibu karena bertepatan dengan diselenggarakannya Kongres Perempuan I pada 22 Desember 1928.
Penetapan Hari Ibu ini dilakukan pada masa Presiden Soekarno melalui Keputusan Presiden Nomor 316 tahun 1959 sebagai upaya membangun kesadaran para perempuan Indonesia supaya memperjuangkan hak-haknya.
