EU awards Erasmus+ Scholarships for the 2022 to 210 Indonesian students and lecturers

Erasmus+ awardees are future leaders who will drive positive changes in their fields of expertise, contributing to a greener, more inclusive and digital future.

“In an increasingly interconnected world, Erasmus+ awardees play a key role in building greater cooperation and strengthening people-to-people connections between Europe and Indonesia.”

In his opening remarks, the Director General of Higher Education, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (MoECRT), Prof. Nizam said, “I would like to congratulate all students who have been awarded the Erasmus+ scholarship. Erasmus+ is an excellent programme by the EU that provides students with the opportunity to study and live in two or more universities in the EU Member States.”

“This is a great experience to build students’ knowledge, skills and international network. I hope the friendship and collaboration between the EU and Indonesia will become even stronger in the future.”

On this occasion, the Director General of Higher Education, MoECRT also said that this year, through the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) with funding from the Government of Indonesia’s Education Endowment Fund (LPDP), the Ministry of Education and Culture sent 438 Indonesian students to 21 universities across 11 European Union Member States.
