Each year, the EU offers Erasmus+ scholarships to Indonesian students and lecturers who wish to pursue their Master’s or undertake short-term exchanges in Europe. Between 2004 to 2022, the EU awarded Erasmus+ scholarships to more than 2,300 Indonesian students and lecturers.

Annually, around 1,200 scholarships are provided to Indonesian students and scholars by the EU – through its flagship Erasmus+ programme – and by the EU Member States. More than 4,000 students and scholars depart to study in Europe every year, both self-funded students and with scholarships.

The EU Ambassador to Indonesia, H.E. Vincent Piket congratulated the awardees in an official pre-departure event.

“Europe is home to world-class education and a research ecosystem. It knows the needs of the labour market and prepares young people for national and international careers. In business, in science, in government. We are proud to contribute to Indonesia’s future through the Erasmus+ scholarship,” said Piket.
